Karen was born in New Zealand and raised in Browns Bay, North Shore of Auckland. She learnt to play piano and guitar at a young age and always wanted to be a singer. In 1989 Karen joined a local club where she has won many awards for solo, duo, group singing and original song.
In 1995 she won the premier entertainer of the year award. The same year had the honour of being the guest artist at the Trans Tasman entertainer of the year on Norfolk Island and has been back to perform 3 times since. Karen has 2 cd's one, all originals, 5 karen wrote herself, and one of easy listening songs including, From This Moment, Amazed, At 17 etc.. and three originals which are also being played in the United States.
She is recording her third one at present Over the years Karen has had experience with many bands and has played and toured New Zealand, Australia, Norfolk Island and the States, and is back in Las Vegas and Norfolk Island this year. She also does a great "tribute to Dolly Parton" and "Stevie Nicks "This show ranging from 20mins to 1 and a half hrs.
In 2008, Karen was on "Stars in their Eyes" as "Dolly" and recently, Karen attempted the Guiness world record for marathon singing and beat it by 3/4hr, singing for 47hrs 29 mins, to raise funds for "kidney Kids" (now, just waiting for it to be made official by London world records.)
Karen offers 3hrs dinner music or 4hrs dance music, (solo, duo, or live band options available). A great night of entertainment including a show with audience participation and comedy.
